Updates

As you all know, Ms. Melissa will not be returning next school year.  Ms. Dominguez has worked with Pointe Schools even longer than I have and has been an integral  part of the school and district community. For the past ten years I have leaned on her, relying on her support and guidance to assist in many aspects of my time here. Thank you for all that you have done, Ms. Melissa. We are all grateful for you and wish you the best of luck in your future endeavors!

Ms. Melissa will continue to serve in her role as Registrar for PPA for the current year. We are excited to announce that Ms. Lenhart will be taking on the role of Registrar for Heritage Academy next year. If you have any questions or need assistance with enrollment with Heritage, please email Ms. Lenhart directly (alenhart@pointeschools.org) and she will assist you. As always, please call the front office if you have any questions and we will work together to support you!

If you have not already enrolled with Heritage Academy, please use this link to get started.

6th/7th Grade Camp was a Blast!

Our Junior High kiddos had a day (and night) of adventure last week at their annual camp! They began their days with lunch and a show at Medieval Times. Scholars then headed to Great Wolf Lodge to enjoy some water fun! Finally, they headed back to Pinnacle where they spent the night in the Cafe after watching Avatar: Way of the Water.

I loved spending my last camp trip with you all! Thank you being amazing Junior High!

Dress Downs

The year is winding down so quickly, Panthers! I know many classes are having their own special dress down days, however, we will also be having some whole school spirit days as well! I encourage our scholars to stick to their class days first. If students are not dressed up for a designated dress-up day, they must be in their traditional school uniforms.

Magical Monday, May 8th – Scholars may dress down in Disney attire (Star Wars, Marvel, etc. absolutely count)

Twinsie Tuesday, May 9th – Choose a friend and dress like twins, or triplets, quadruplets, you choose, but you can dress alike! Scholars are also able to dress up as iconic duos (e.g. Batman & Robin, Scooby Doo & The Gang, Mario & Luigi, etc.)

Wacky Wednesday, May 10th – Scholars may dress as wacky as they would like including wild hair

Dapper Day, Thursday, May 11th – Whip out your fanciest (yet comfortable) attire for this dressy day of fun

Water Day, May 12th – As a reminder, students will be having their annual Water Day! Students should bring the following items (all labelled with the student’s first name and last initial): swim suit, water bottle, flip flops or sandals (no shoes/socks), towel, and an extra pair of dress-down clothes. Swim suits and swim tops must cover the torso/stomach.

Monday, May 15th – May 18th – Scholars may dress down in any school appropriate attire they wish for the last week of school

Water Day Volunteers

Friday, May 12th, is our annual Water Day! Students will remain with their classes as they rotate through water slides/activities. If you are interested in volunteering with us, please let us know!

If you do not want your child to participate in any Water Day activities, please let the front office know and other activities will be made available for them during the event.

What to Bring  (all labelled with the student’s first name and last initial)
Swim Suit
Water Bottle
Flip Flops or Sandals (no shoes/socks)
Towel
Extra Pair of Dress-down Clothes

Important Reminders
Please, apply sunscreen to your child before you drop them off for school. Students may bring sunscreen with them and apply it to themselves as needed, however, sunscreen will not be provided.

It is also a half day! We will try to have students as dry as possible prior to pick-up but as the fun will be going straight through until the end of the morning, they may still be a bit soaked for the car ride!

Yearbook Orders!

We cannot believe how fast our year has flown by, Panthers! If you are interested in purchasing a 2022 – 2023 yearbook, they are $25 and can be purchased online only using this link. If prompted for a school code, please use: 1015537045364230

Yearbooks ordered before tomorrow, April 14th, will be shipped for free to the school and delivered within the last couple weeks of school. No yearbooks will be available to purchase on site.

Virtual Info Session Tonight

As a reminder, there will be a virtual information session this evening at 5:30 pm. Please, see the information from Lindsey Crosland (lcrosland@heritageacademyaz.com), Heritage Academy Marketing Manager & Executive Assistant. Please, contact Ms. Crosland if you have any questions.

“If you are interested in learning more about Heritage Academy and next year’s K-8 offerings, please join us on April 12th at 5:30 pm. You can join virtually on Wednesday using this link:  CLICK HERE.

Note/Correction: The info session will only be virtual. You will not need to drive to campus to attend.

We plan to record the meeting for future viewing, in case you aren’t able to attend during this time. Also, we have a previously recorded “info session” from last year for our Gateway K-8 campus if you’re interested in learning about the culture of Heritage, its mission, and the curriculum that is offered school-wide. CLICK HERE to watch.  {Note: There is a setting to listen at a faster speed, as well as skip forward to content to move faster through the material if you are short on time. It is a much larger campus overall, but the content in the video applies.}”

Thank you ♥️

Panthers,

Thank you all for the support through the transition with Heritage Academy. I know it has been a bit tumultuous and I appreciate your patience as we navigate the changes together.

Although I have had many conversations over the past few weeks with all of you, I wanted to share with you all that I will not be returning next year. I have decided to venture away from public education, however, I will be here to support the school and my families through the changes in leadership and across the campus. As we have always done, we will communicate information as soon as we are able.

For the last ten years, I have had the privilege of being a part of hundreds of student’s educations and I am so grateful for the mark that each of them has left on me. We have built a unique family here that is truly something special where each day, I come to campus feeling loved, supported, and a true part of something.

Thank you for allowing me the immense honor of being a part of your lives. I have no doubt that each of your scholars will go on to do amazing things that bring them joy (similar to the amount of joy each of them has brought me).

Thank you,
Mrs.  Fallon

We Make History

Today, our 3rd – 7th graders were visited by George Washington and the Colonial Ladies! The folks from We Make History showcased what the lives of George Washington and others were like in the early years of our country’s founding. Scholars were able to see the various aspects of day-to-day life including clothing, dancing, games, and my personal favorite…chocolate. Thank you for a phenomenal presentation, We Make History!
