Our office will be closed for Fall Break and will return to normal business hours on Monday, October 8th. We hope that you have a relaxing week off!
This week, fourth graders in Ms.Wade’s class reviewed their Plant unit by dissecting a flower. During the unit, students learned the parts of a plant and how plants use flowers and fruit to reproduce. In this activity, students were challenged to locate and examine the petals, stamen, pollen, pistil and stem. It was a fun, hands-on learning experience!
Today, fourth graders in Ms. Wade’s class reviewed their geometry skills by creating polygons using marshmallows and stir straws. Students created triangles, quadrilaterals, pentagons, hexagons and octagons. Students had so much fun making shapes and enjoying their marshmallows after the activity!
Our first Swap Shop of the year is on this Friday, September 28th! Remember to bring those Panther Bucks and a bag for all of your goodies! Here is a little sneak peak at some of the good available for purchase!
Friday is also the first Early Dismissal of the year! Dismissal will begin at 12:00pm. Panther’s Den will be available for those already signed up between 12:30pm – 6:00pm. Please, remember that the Cafe will be closed so students in Panther’s Den must bring a lunch and lots of snacks!
Yesterday afternoon, our 4-6th Graders used technology to create some pretty incredible pictures. We had a spaceship in a starry scene, Slimer from Ghostbusters, and many more creative images! Excellent job using alternative media, Panthers!
The girls of our Volleyball team did an awesome job today in their Jamboree at Chandler Prep this morning! Even in just a few short weeks, you have grown so much in your skills and teamwork! Great job, Lions and Panthers!
It was so hard to choose between my “I love N’Sync” and Lisa Frank shirt but I suffered through the tough decision for our last day of Spirit Week! I loved seeing all of the Panthers decked out in their greatest 90’s attire throughout the day.
We ended our Spirit Week with some amazing events, including a Staff v. Student Kickball Game (Teachers won!), Awards for the Teams, and our evening family event, Block Party!
Thank you to all of the students, staff, and families that made our Block Party such a success! I would like to add an extra “thank you” to the families for all those donations. Whether they were cupcakes, pumpkins, or your valuable time, our event would not have been the incredible success it was without your support. Make sure to check the website for all of the photos from Spirit Week!
