For the past month, 5th and 6th grade has been learning about Cubism during Enrichment. They used different mediums in both 2 dimensional and 3 dimensional projects. Excellent job, Panthers!
Kinder and first learned all about Michelangelo during Enrichment and how he painted the Sistine Chapel by laying on his back 68 feet up in the air. They got to create their own Michelangelo pictures but at a much lower footage!
Last week, students in Mrs. Shaw’s Fitness class got to play a very special holiday-themed game where a leader shouts out different positions/shapes to act out and the rest of the class creates them! Some of these special directives included “reindeer”, “bell”, and “snowman”. It was such a blast!
Kindergarten students said “Adios!” to their Spanish enrichment class for the year with a piñata celebration! Thank you, teachers for providing our students with such a great year of exceptional enrichment courses! I am so excited for them to start back up in August with the new year!
Students have been engaging in all kinds of fall science during Mrs. Renoth’s Science Exploration enrichment class. Today, students build structures using fall sweets and toothpicks! Yum!
At The Station, Mrs. Shaw’s third graders treated us to an incredible musical performance. During Enrichment time, students have been diligently working on learning how to play the recorder.
We heard some hit songs including “Hot Cross Buns” and “Mary Had a Little Lamb”! My favorite part was watching the videos of the paired performances and hearing from individual students about the process. Great job, Third Grade! I cannot wait to pop in and hear some more tunes!
Second Grade did such an incredible job showcasing their Enrichment performance at The Station. Thank you for joining us, Families, as we watched the Reader’s Theater version of If you Give a Mouse a Cookie!
Join us at The Station next week for a special demonstration of musical abilities by Mrs. Shaw’s third graders!
