Worms! Worms! Worms!

Fourth and Fifth grades got their hands dirty this week and learned about vermi-posting with red wiggler worms during our STEM activity.┬áStudents sifted through composted soil to find the red wigglers and any egg castings.┬áThe nutrient-rich castings will be added to Pinnacle Pointe’s garden, which is currently growing cucumbers, tomatoes, corn, basil and various flowers.

After School Sunflowers are Blooming!

Students in the After School Program planted sunflowers in their planter last quarter and they are really starting to grow! I cannot wait to see the flowers when they begin to bloom. Great job Panthers!

This quarter, each grade will be working in their own planter to grow a variety of flowers and delicious fruits, veggies, and herbs! I cannot wait to see the garden bursting with vegetation in a few weeks!
