Students of the Month

Today, we celebrated the successes of two groups of kiddos at The Station, Students of the Month and students who were at school every day in August! Each month, students who receive Perfect Attendance will receive some kind of extra special treat in addition to their public recognition (this month is a pizza party)! Great work, Panthers

Although we celebrated the successes of our kiddos privately during this week’s Station, we will also be recognizing our Students of the Month again during our First Quarter Awards Ceremony on October 18th at 2pm so mark your calendars!

Congratulations to our first Students of the Month for the new school year!

Kindergarten – Lucas

First – Hayden

We Celebrate Success!

Today, we had our second Station of the year and had a blast! Our 5th and 6th grade students are planning and running the Stations this year during Enrichment and our first student-lead Station of the year came together beautifully. Great job, guys!

Each Station features check-ins/updates, a game, and character education which includes  resources from the Be Kind People Project. Each month, we learn an awesome dance move which relates to our trait of the month. Lastly, we celebrate successes all across our campus with Shout Outs!

Today’s Station Shout Outs

Joshy from 5th Grade: “He consistently demonstrates exceptional behavior and participation on campus. Additionally, he had the highest score on our math test this week and consistently achieves high marks.”

Lyndah from 5th Grade: “I have watched her demonstrate kindness to all ages on campus in various ways. Her in-class performance and effort is exceptional.”

Hayden from 1st Grade: “Hayden was our first VIP!”

Amaya from 4th Grade: “Amaya has been on task each and every day and is a great example to her classmates.”

I would like to add a special Shout Out to Ms. deLeon for assisting the kiddos in creating such an engaging and well-run Station.

Recorders Rock!

At The Station, Mrs. Shaw’s third graders treated us to an incredible musical performance. During Enrichment time, students have been diligently working on learning how to play the recorder.

We heard some hit songs including “Hot Cross Buns” and “Mary Had a Little Lamb”! My favorite part was watching the videos of the paired performances and hearing from individual students about the process. Great job, Third Grade! I cannot wait to pop in and hear some more tunes!

Principal & Vice Principal for the Day Help Showcase First Grade

Yesterday, I was fortunate enough to have had some help from Principal James and Vice Principal Cole. Not only did these two help out in all of the classes, cleaning trash, and organizing the Talent Show but they lead The Station.

This week’s Station highlighted our First Graders as they showcased a Reader’s Theater about the Three Little Pigs. Great job, First Grade!IMG_0420.jpegIMG_0419.jpegIMG_0421.jpegIMG_0416.jpeg
