Read-A-Thon Prize

We are getting excited for our Annual Reading Week and the Scholastic Book Fair next week, September 18th – September 22nd. Students will be given Reading Logs on Friday, September 15th for the Read-A-Thon and will compete with students in their class to see who can read the most!

Winners from each class will get to have a special catered Lunch with the Principal and will receive a book of their choice! The winning reader from the whole school will not only receive these prizes but will also get an extra special prize but I just could not decide which one to choose from so I am leaving it up to you Panthers! Please, use the poll below to make your selection for the Principal Prize for the Read-A-Thon!

Keep an eye out for additional information on our Pirate-themed Literacy Night and our Annual Storybook Character Dress-up Day!

Station Speeches were Spectacular!

Today, 4th-6th grade applicants for Station Crew each shared one minute speeches about why they would be good choices for the Station Crew this year. Station Crew members are leaders and positive role models for the entire school. The selected applicants will be working closely with pinnacleTV to create meaningful Stations each week that focus on MORE!

All of the applicants did an exceptional job during their speeches. Thank you for all that applied and if you do not make the crew, please remember there will be various opportunities throughout the year to help out with Stations!

Check out the speeches on Friday’s Morning Show! Great job, Panthers!

The Station at Pinnacle Pointe

Photo 1-3During the Station each week, students are introduced to various character traits that support Pinnacle Pointe Academy’s “Leave Your Mark” character education initiative. To help reinforce these positive character traits, STUGO created a colorful character education anchor chart to our cafe this week. This chart helps to remind students the importance of courage, self respect, motivation and gratitude. The chart will be updated throughout the year to include other character traits and will be a helpful reminder to students to always “Leave Your Mark!”
