Quarter 2 Clubs

The first week of our in-person, small groups went fabulously! It was so wonderful to see some of you all the past few days! Thank you for making it so successful.

Please, see the attached club subscription options for Quarter 2. To sign-up for the club options, simply email me (afallon@pointeschools.org) and we will contact you to arrange payment. The “suggested grades” provide a guideline for families. Any student is able to sign-up for the club, regardless of grade. Sign-up must be done by Friday, October 2nd to allow time to purchase the supplies.

Thank you Readers!

Our Annual Read-A-Thon was such an amazing success! Thank you all for doing such a great job reading at home. Although all of the Panthers did a phenomenal job reading, the readers who read the most from each class won a book of their choice from the fair. Great job, Panthers!

Pinnacle’s Not-So-Spooky Night of Lights

🍂 Mark your calendars and come to our free Trunk-or-Treat/Block Party alternative for the kiddos! They will get to dress-up and drive through our light display, collecting treats along the way 🎃

This free community event will offer an opportunity for families to welcome the fall season with a not-so-spooky light display! Come dressed-up in your favorite costume and drive through our display, collecting treats throughout the trip including candy, toys, and more!

To assist in preventing any potential traffic issues, we have created tickets through Eventbrite.com. Tickets are completely free but will allow us to stagger guests as they enjoy the event. Please, use the link above to sign-up for a time slot to enter the display (per car, not per person). Thank you!

Happy Monkey Churros will also be joining us in the parking lot and will be accepting cash or card for their yummy treats!

State of Arizona Attorney General Free Outreach Programs

The Office of Arizona Attorney General, Mark Brnovich, is providing some incredible webinars to the community for free (all online). A few years ago, we had some of these trainings on-site and they provided valuable education and prevention information regarding a variety of issues facing families. Some of the topics include E-Cigarette Awareness, Suicide Prevention, Cyber Safety, and Anti-Bullying. If you are interested in this community resources, please visit their site for more information on this resources.

Thank you for the resources, Office of Arizona Attorney General Community Outreach and Education.

Reading Week 2020

Reading Week is one of my favorite weeks of the year (I know… I know… I say that about every week but it’s true every time I say it) and I am so excited to celebrate it with our traditional activities!

Reading Week: September 14th – September 18th

Read-A-Thon: Read! Read! Read! Students can keep track of their reading for the week in our annual Read-A-Thon competition. Feel free to use the attached log to track student reading for the week. The student who reads the most in their class will win a book of their choice from the fair! The winner for the whole school will win a mystery grand prize! Logs and/or student total minutes read must be emailed to Mrs. Fallon by September 18th at 3:30 pm.

Scholastic Book Fair: This year, our families will be able to schedule a time to come peruse the annual Book Fair in-person! The fair will be held outside and families will have their own individual shopping time to come check-out what the fair has to offer. If you do not feel comfortable coming in-person, please, feel free to shop the online fair! Please, come ready to enjoy the fair with your cloth masks/facial coverings.

Storybook Character Dress-Up: On Friday, September 18th, students are encouraged to come to their digital classes dressed as their favorite storybook character. If you are not attending the online sessions, we still encourage you to dress up with us and would love to see some pictures to share in the fun! Please, have your book ready to share with the class as well so they can see who your character is. Send a picture to Mrs. Fallon of your student dressed up for a chance to win some free books!
