Happy Summer!

Happy Last Day of School, My Friends! It has certainly been a historic year and I am so proud of all of you for the hard work you have put into it!

I know there is much uncertainty as we transition into summer about what the new year will bring us, especially with the newest guidelines released by the CDC. As always, we place the safety of our students, staff, and families with the highest priority and have been busy planning the different ways we can utilize the recommendations while still meeting the social and academic needs of our kiddos.

Because of our small school and community, we are confident that we can meet these needs in the least restrictive ways possible. Please, keep in mind that regulations and guidelines are consistently changing during these uncertain times but we will continue to navigate them together. I am happy to chat with you about any concerns you have and will always provide information as soon as possible. Thank you for continuing to trust us  and being part of our Panther Family!

Have a great summer!

Happy Field Day!

As you all know, tomorrow would have been our final 4A Day of the year, Field Day! This is one of our biggest events of the year where the kiddos get absolutely soaked and have a blast. Although we cannot celebrate together in our usual Panther fashion, we have created some Field Day Goody Bags with some activity packets and little treats inside for our students.

If you would like a goody bag, please come on by the office tomorrow or next week and give us a call when you arrive. If you have not picked up your student supplies and would also like to pick these up at the same time, please call the office 24 hours in advance to allow us time to prepare the materials.

If you would like a sneak peak at the goody bag items, please join me live tomorrow on Pinnacle’s Facebook for our Panther Morning Meeting (with special guests, Ms. Melissa and Mr. Tim from North Pointe).

Space Day Resources!

Happy National Space Day, Panthers! To help you celebrate in style, I have linked some amazing resources for you guys! As always, if you find any great resources or you do something fabulous to celebrate the day, please feel free to share them with me!

As our temperatures continue to get higher, at least we can still look forward to enjoying the beautiful night sky and slightly cooler temperatures in the evenings. Space.com provides a great list of celestial events in the month of May to keep an eye out for!

I have also linked some incredible activity packs from ASU and Knott’s Berry Farm (who doesn’t love that adorable beagle?) I hope your three-day weekends are off to a great start!

Student Supply Pick-Up

For our 1st – 6th Graders, we will be utilizing  SignUpGenius to arrange times for each family to come pick up any personal student materials/supplies (Kindergarten supplies were distributed throughout the year for community use). Please, use this link to sign-up for a designated time slot next week.

If you are unable to come to any of the provided slots, please give us a call and we will arrange an alternative date/time for pick-up. Materials will not be given to families without 24 hours notice.

Please, ensure that you are arriving at the designated time so that we have your kiddos’ supplies prepared and ready for curbside pick-up. When you arrive through the front drive, we will come out and put the bagged materials in your vehicle. Please, do not leave your car or go through the materials at this time. If something appears to be missing, please, email the classroom teacher.

Happy Earth Day!

Happy Earth Day, Panthers! I would love to hear about all of the unique and fun ways you will be celebrating this important day so please share, share, share!

I began my own Earth day adventures with our Morning Meeting where I read The Krayon Kids: Going Green written by Karen Marquez Morales and illustrated by Walter Policelli.

Ms. Marques was suppose to be visiting our campus next week to share her books with our kiddos in person. Although we will not be able to enjoy the author event this year, we will certainly try to have her come in the future!

Thank you, Ms. Marquez for allowing us the privilege of reading your wonderful books and we hope to schedule another event with you soon! Please, check out the Krayon Kids website for more information on Ms. Marquez’ books and lots of great resources! Here is a direct link to a free Krayon Kids activity book provided by the author.

Second Grade Science

Second Grade students were assigned a Living Things project for the month of April. They could choose one of four projects. One of the choices was to design an alien with adaptions that function to help it survive in a particular environment and our students rose to the challenge!

This creatively designed alien includes suction feet, fireball wings, and the ability to camouflage as a rock! Thank you for sharing, Aiden!
