Read-A-Thon Celebration

Yesterday Pinnacle recognized the Read-A-Thon winners. Students from Kindergarten through 6th grade competed with their peers to determine who could read the most minutes in a week. The competition was fierce and one winner per class was announced at the Station a few weeks ago. Today, their accomplishments were recognized by reading, eating Chick-Fil-A and getting the amazing books they ordered. Who is going to let us borrow one of their new books?!?

Surprise Spirit Dress-Down Day Tomorrow, 9/13

Our shirts have arrived! Since shirts have been delivered to all students who pre-ordered, students are invited to show their School Spirit on Wednesday, 9/13 by wearing one of their new shirts! Students may wear jean or khaki/navy blue shorts, pants, or skirts and close-toed shoes.

If you were unable to order any shirts previously, there are a handful of sizes available in the Front Office. Come snag them while there are still some available and we will see you tomorrow in your new Spirit gear!

Read-A-Thon Prize

We are getting excited for our Annual Reading Week and the Scholastic Book Fair next week, September 18th – September 22nd. Students will be given Reading Logs on Friday, September 15th for the Read-A-Thon and will compete with students in their class to see who can read the most!

Winners from each class will get to have a special catered Lunch with the Principal and will receive a book of their choice! The winning reader from the whole school will not only receive these prizes but will also get an extra special prize but I just could not decide which one to choose from so I am leaving it up to you Panthers! Please, use the poll below to make your selection for the Principal Prize for the Read-A-Thon!

Keep an eye out for additional information on our Pirate-themed Literacy Night and our Annual Storybook Character Dress-up Day!

5th/6th Grade Sports Have Arrived!

Our 5th and 6th grade Volleyball and Flag Football teams worked hard at practice today. Students from both Pinnacle and Canyon Pointe joined together to work on their technique, teamwork, and sportsmanship. More importantly, students enjoyed having fun with each other and making new friends!  5th and 6th grade students are still able to join these teams provided they get a physical and are excited to play! If you have any questions, please contact the Front Office
